If you don’t know what PitchMAS is, it is a writing contest similar to #PitMad, where you (a writer) enter in your 35 word pitch to Jessa Russo (@JessaRusso) and Tamara Mataya (@FreakySnucker), the co-creators of @PitchMAS. While the deadline for that submission is already passed, they are posting the top 55 pitches (out of 600!) on their blog at midnight PST.
While, if you don’t make it into the top 55, you are welcome to join the PitchMAS twitter party on 12/12 2014, all day!
The same rules apply like #PitMad, only two tweets per hour.
So, if you’re interested, come out and tweet your pitches!
I’ll be retweeting my favourites.
One more week until my semester is over.
#PITMAD DECEMBER 4TH 2014 FROM 8AM TO 8PM EST HOSTED BY THE LOVELY AND WONDERFUL @brendadrake
Yes, much excited, much excited.
I hope to see you all there? Because I know I will be! Follow my twitter @MarionMavis_ if you want me to retweet your pitches.
It has been a while since I posted, I know! But there is a reason.
Since all the amazing contests in August, I have had some time to reflect on my novel (with the help of some amazing people), and have been working to make some changes.
And, I did!
So now, i’m back in the game.
I’m hoping to participate in Brenda Drake’s final #PitMad contest of the year 2014, so I have been writing some pitches, editing my novel as much as I can.
Time to get excited!!
It is with a sad heart I have to say that I did not get picked for this years #PitchWars. With that being said, I am so happy for everything I have learned throughout this experience, and all the great writers I have met along the way.
I will most definitely be cheering on my fellow writers as they go on in the contest,
Good Luck to everyone, and congratulations!
On the Adventures in YA Publishing blog they have posted the top 50 submissions for their #PitchPlus5 contest.
I am lucky #31 Entry: THE NEWCOMER.
Feel free to go check it out, I believe you have to go to the bottom and click older posts.

Today, I received an email stating that I made the top 50 for the #PitchPlus5 contest. My submission will be posted on their blog on August 26th, at 6AM EST.
The top 25 entries will be picked on September 9th at noon, and I believe it is all up to the judges- using a scale to determine the picks.
If you want to see my submission, or just want more information on the contest, visit their blog at http://adventuresinyacontests.blogspot.ca/p/contest-rules.html .
Earlier today i was surfing the lovely thing we call the internet, when i came across another writing contest, one that is right up my alley.
It is called “The Pitch Plus Five Contest”, or on twitter they are using the hashtag #PitchPlus5 .
Basically, it is a contest where they are accepting the fist 25 entries of MG, YA, or NA, that follows all their submission guidelines. They have two submission windows that will be held on the 24th of August. For more information, visit their website: http://www.adventuresinyapublishing.com/2014/08/announcing-our-biggest-contest-ever.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+blogspot%2Fkidlit+%28Adventures+in+YA+Publishing%29 .
With 27 judges, it is a way for them to give back to the writing community.
Hope to see you all there!
